Edith is an experienced mixed-method user experience researcher. Her expertise covers the entire product development cycle, from user research, ideation to prototyping, testing, and launch. Her proficiency in data analysis and visualization using tools like Excel, Python, R, SPSS, Tableau, and MySQL allows her to solve research problems effectively, employing methods like ANOVA and T-Test. Edith’s training in the HCDE program at the University of Washington has honed her human-centered approach, enabling her to extract valuable user insights and inform design decisions for product iterations. AccessMap

AccessMap is a map technology allowing disabled participants to adjust steepness and curbside of the roads to tailor their experience with route navigation. Participatory design workshops with interview and usability questions are used to understand participants.

Microsoft SMC

Microsoft SMC is about recreating the support site experience of support.microsoft.com. Topics included personalization and privacy were studied with methods of interviews, usability tests and codesign to illustrate customers’ pain points and needs. This project is confidential. Amazon Furniture AR Usability Study

Amazon Furniture AR Usability Study is my first AR project, requiring testing of participants in an open space, which is a fun experience. Key findings include usability issues of unclear labels, unclear instructions, and lack of usability for non-American users.

Microsoft.com is the leading site for online businesses where users are shown listings of products and services. This study uses interviews and usability tests to identify layouts of websites the customers prefer and to influence business growth. This project is confidential. iTourTranslator

iTourTranslator is a real-time transcription mobile app for the US d/Deaf and hard of hearing (HOH) communities, which is repurposed from a Chinese translation app, iTourTranslator. Heuristic evaluation, card sorting, moderated interviews and usability test are used.

Decco furniture app

Decco is an online retail that sells home decor items. They recently added Lamp as a new category before. In order to generate awareness and boost sales, they want to do promotions through their apps.
